Pada hari Kamis, tanggal 1 Mei 2025, bertepatan dengan Hari Buruh Internasional, warga Desa Mandalasari menunjukkan semangat kebersamaan melalui kegiatan gotong royong yang dilaksanakan secara serentak di seluruh wilayah desa. Kegiatan ini difokuskan pada pembersihan lingkungan, perbaikan saluran air, serta pengecatan fasilitas umum seperti balai warga dan pos ronda.
Sejak pagi hari, warga dari berbagai dusun telah berkumpul dengan membawa perlengkapan masing-masing, mulai dari cangkul, sabit, sapu lidi, hingga cat dan kuas. Kegiatan diawali dengan apel singkat di halaman balai desa yang dipimpin langsung oleh Kepala Desa Mandalasari, yang dalam sambutannya mengapresiasi semangat partisipatif warga serta mengajak untuk terus menjaga semangat gotong royong sebagai warisan budaya bangsa.
Gotong royong ini tidak hanya melibatkan kaum pria, tetapi juga para ibu rumah tangga, pemuda, serta anak-anak yang turut membantu sesuai kemampuan mereka. Salah satu fokus utama adalah pembersihan sampah di sepanjang jalan utama desa serta normalisasi saluran irigasi yang tersumbat akibat hujan deras beberapa waktu lalu.
Kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar dan penuh keakraban. Selain mempererat tali silaturahmi antarwarga, gotong royong ini juga menjadi wujud nyata semangat kebersamaan dalam menjaga kebersihan dan kenyamanan lingkungan desa. Di akhir kegiatan, warga menikmati makan bersama sebagai simbol rasa syukur dan kebersamaan.
Kegiatan ini menjadi bukti bahwa nilai-nilai gotong royong masih sangat hidup dan menjadi kekuatan utama dalam membangun Desa Mandalasari yang bersih, sehat, dan harmonis.
